I made a diaper cake for my brother and his girlfriend when my niece was born. As I was bringing it into the hospital, I noticed so many people starring at it. I walked into the lobby and there were even more people starring at it. I was really starting to feel a little uncomfortable! My brother told me that every person that went into their room commented on it and really loved it, wanting to know where they got it. With his encouragement, I decided to start making them and sell them and see how things go.

The one that I made for my brother and girlfriend had lots of goodies in it, such as sleepers, onesies, bibs, face cloths, receiving blankets, toys, etc. I thought that the ones I will sell would be much plainer. It will make it much easier for me to make and I do not want to try hunting down specific items for people. I think it turned out nicely just as it is!

I finished up the last of the clippies that I am going to be doing for awhile. These ones are without the bows on them, but I still think they look great. I need to take a break from making them b/c my tendonitisis is acting up and my left wrist is killing me. Even though I enjoy making them, my body is telling me to stop. LOL

I picked these up last night at Michael's. Sami is pretty excited about the bat stamp and cannot wait to use it today when she gets home from preschool. Not a bad haul for $1.50 each, huh?

I have been working on some more Christmas ornaments. I know that I am getting a little ahead of the game, but I will not have much spare time soon. I have been working on mittens, candy canes, stockings, hearts, and bells. They are all made out of plastic canvas. They are pretty quick and easy to make. I have been working on them in the evening when Sami goes to bed and I am up watching tv. I thought they would be cute to put on some presents this year to decorate the package a little.

Today I finished working on cards for a swap I am in. It is a "just because" theme so none of them have anything written on the front. They were all very quick and simple. There really is nothing fancy about them at all. I really like the "bouquet of flowers" cards. I think they are too cute!

Sami and I went to the park last night to feed the ducks. Whenever there are leftover hotdog or hamburger buns, we put them in the freezer and save them for the ducks. Considering it has been raining pretty much the entire month, yesterday was our first chance to get out to feed them. The ducks are always so friendly. They will eat the bread right out of your hand. As always, Sami spends the majority of her time eating the bread, not feeding the ducks. LOL

I worked on some baby cards this morning. I think they are pretty cute. I am thinking of adding some of my cards to my Etsy site. I am starting to get quite the collection of cards, so it cannot hurt to see if I can sell some.

I put my first order in from the new Stampin' Up catalog. I went with a Halloween theme and ordered "Haunting Halloween" and "Batty for You". I always do up treats for the kids in Sami's class each year. I cannot wait to get these sets and come up with something. =)

While Sami was looking at the Wish Book, I got in the Christmas mood so I whipped up some cards. They are nothing fancy, but they were fun to do nonetheless.

Guess what was in the mailbox this morning? The Sears Wishbook! I do not remember getting it this early last year. Sami has been looking at it all day long. I have long track with how many times she has said "I hope Santa brings me this".

I would like to introduce you to my brand new niece, Madison. She was born yesterday at 7:16pm, weighing 9lbs exactly! I am so proud and was so exited to meet her today for the first time. She is absolutely perfect! I cannot wait to see her again!

What do you think of this guy? I finished up 10 of them last night. Sami seems to think that they are all for her. I told her that she could pick one out and she was happy with that.

Well, it has been a busy summer! My daughter and I did a little travelling. We went to PEI for a week to visit friends, then spent another week with friends in Woodstock. Since coming back home, I have been in craft heaven. I have been making tons of cards and have a new found love for my felt crafts. I have also been busy with my new endeavour of making hair clips. Needless to say I have been busy. Here is a pic of me and my daughter at Blooming Point:
